1998 VDP - no lights on: radio, clock, fog, dipbeam, park, sidemarkers, license plate

I had a problem with my boot (trunk) light, license plate light and rear running lights. It turned out to be a broken wire or two (or three) in the right rear boot hinge harness. This is very common and can also cause other weird errors - I could not get the car out of valet mode until I fixed this. There are a boatload of fuses, that's the first thing to check, then the relays. Hopefully, you have a manual or a subscription to Alldata to tell you where they are located.

glad to be of service....people have helped me so much around here---and as for your order, at least now you'll know everything is new and as it should be in there....best of luck. Just curious, how much$? I may need one in the future if mine doesn't hold out. My mechanic didn't even suggest a new unit, just told me he fixed it after the fact....oh well, hope it lasts-

245.00 at Overseas Jaguar in Dallas, Texas.. since its where I live anyway.
So this evening, I will pull the current stalk out and take a look myself and see if I can solder if need be. I'm sure its something trivial, but considering the electrical system is advanced on the JAG's even for a 1998 model, I wanted to be dead certain.
