Default 1998 XJR Finally Mine

Will post pics. She's rough but with some TLC she'll be alright! Gotta go to parts store and grab a 22mm half inch socket to pull wheels. Hood is stuck closed. She was a thrill to bring home!

Congrats! How many miles and what maintenance was done on it?? Tensioners? Upgraded steel impeller water pump?

Btw, I'm turning over 237K miles on mine today. Original engine.

Thanks!! 80k on the clock, waterpump, thermostat, hoses were swapped by PO. Upgrades also...Mina exhaust, some ECU reprogram to match pulley upgrade with a drop in airfilter. Got the hood open and took off the latches until I can figure out how to address. She's not the prettiest right now but in time a good cut and polish is long overdue. That's a good amount of miles on your car. I want to see mine go the distance as well

Well I've had my 1st oops today. I hit an incline sort of hard and I really wasnt going fast. Pushed the fans against the crank pulley which made a horrific noise. Jacked her up in front, laid on the ground to see whats going on. Wires to fans were snapped...oh gosh! Took the fans out after I figured how they were attached, fixed wires, and all is well again. I know these cars are low to the ground but I didn't really know until today. Took 2 hours because I had to get something cold to drink

Indeed my fondness of speeding up & down a steep local incline is stifled when driving the 308. It took me ripping off the under tray & disintegrating the windshield washer reservoir to learn this lol.

Sorry to hear about the fans. I've repaired several customers fan mishaps with these 308's.

Holy crap!! That reservoir looks like it tumbled down the highway and got ran over by 3 other cars!
