Hi all,
Before I wnt and had the system regassed as no cold air coming out,
I noticed that when i press the AC button the compressor doesn't start spinning, I can move it buy hand so not seized and have checked fuse #15 (10A) and again is ok, also the indicator light does come on on the button,
Is there anything else I can check before handing over to a garage? Any relays or voltages from modules, I have found an add on ebay for an LNC7600AE AC unit that I believe to be under the dash somewhere.
I have also seen on the wiring diagram a 4 way pressure switch so if gas is low would this stop it working?

 

On several of my cars(Jag not included) when the freon was low the compressor did not ingage. As I added freon the compressor would then ingage. If it's over charged then the compressor would cycle off and on repeatedly. Please correct if I have this wrong.

 

I had that issue on others as well. I would suggest the first thing would be to have the level checked and recharged, and go from there.

 

How long ago did you have freon put in? Has it recently been blowing cold air and then all of a sudden it stopped blowing cold? Or was it blowing cold and then gradually got cool then warm/hot?
