Default 2000 XJ8 instrument cluster rebuild

Does anyone know of a company that can rebuild a 2000 XJ8 instrument cluster? The ones that I found online do not do that model year. I have found one company in England that may repair it. Have not reached out to them yet. I have taken the cluster out and repaired the migrated solder. It did not fix the issues.

this is the one company I found that may do it.

I am hoping for alternate recommendations.

Thanks

First you need to go to the new member section and introduce yourself as it’s mandatory.

What’s going on with your instrument pack?

Default Instruments and intro

I went to the new members and introduced myself ✔️
the instrument cluster does not work, locks the shifter, gives odd messages like ‘incorrect part installed’ etc. text book solder migration issues. But I repaired that.

Would it be easier to replace with another one? Our year instrument panels are not coded to the computer.

You just need to match the VCATS label so the INSTPK displays properly. SUFFIX /503 seems common for North American X308 sedans.
Mileage will follow the INSTPK not the car.

Anyone know how to remove this clip? Trying not to break it.

Very carefully pry the little tabs that hold it in place as I recall.
