Default 2000 XJ8 motor swap

will a 2003 xjr (supercharged) motor be an easy swap into a 2000 xj8 - if not what motors are interchangeable with the 2000 xj8

thanks for any help

It certainly will not be a direct swap. Easiest description is that you can reuse the short block. It would be much easier to find an AJ27 engine. That is the '99 - '02 XK8/XJ8. The '03 XJ8 4.0L will also work but the model year varies with your location.

As test point says..............

The problem with the Supercharged engine block is that the pistons are 'dished' to lower the compression ratio. You will not be happy with the lower power. The SC engine also lacks the VVT so you will be swapping MANY components.

Leave the supercharged engines for the supercharged cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
