Find someone in your area with a 'smoke machine' and pressure up the EVAP system to look for the leak.

Riden:
I am sure your question makes sense to you. You are lucky enough to have a Jaguar trained ex dealer technician offering to help you . I suggest you more carefully explain your question and I bet motorcarman can help with your answer. There is no "power up" the evap system other than turning the car on and cranking it.

Well, I do not believe there is a regular culprit on these cars EXCEPT the gas cap. Not only do they have to be on tight, but they apparently have a proensity to leak. BTW, good luck on finding a universal replacement. Rock Auto and others sell them online.
