Default 2001 xj8 RP on and amber engine light

Hi

I took the car to the dealer and had it scanned codes PO455 and PO333. They replaced canister valve C, car ran fine for 3 days. Then it all started again. RP comes on around 60 miles per hour, goes off when you slow down, but engine light stays on.

Any ideas?

You fix what you find, when you find it. The new warning could easily have been caused by another unrelated fault. Best have them scan the car again so no false conclusions are drawn.

Changing both knock sensors is easy. It's just undoing the wire harness and removing the sensor. You will need a crow's foot attached to a long extension to loosen and tighten it with a ratchet. You should tighten it to 30 Nm.

Just went to change it and the one they gave me was a thread in and the one on the car is a stud and nut
Why did it show up on parts list as a threaded one.??
Does any one know the standard no# for the stud and nut one?
Threaded is a standard ks 308
