2001 XJ8 Transmission question

2001 XJ8 Transmission question

I have a 2001 XJ8 and when I step on the gas the engine winds up and then the gears catch. I have over 150K on the engine. I get a P0732 code poping up as well. Is this just a matter of adding fluids or am I about to get hosed at the repari shop.

Hi, you will get better responses here. Check your trans fluid first of course.

I would hope that it is just a sensor or a solenoid rather than a new G/B.

Transmission oil level low
Output speed sensor problem
(Refer to P0721 Possible Causes)
Input speed sensor problem
(Refer to P0715 Possible Causes)

Transmission mechanical failure
