Default 2001 XJR bolt ons

I have noticed there is not very many upgrade options for my car. I do not want to swap to a LS. I just want to upgrade my internals but how or where do iso that?

As far as internals, you'll find almost nothing. It's not a very "tuner-friendly" plant. The bolt on upgrades are limited to the pulley on the supercharger, and the lower pulley to correspond, intake and exhaust kits and hi-flow CATS. There's a twin-screw supercharger upgrade if you can find them and the money to. But it's not like a traditional upgrade path like small-blocks with cams, and headers and the like.

I started with a 3.5" intake tube. I made a thread about how to construct your own intake here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...cation-197244/
I then went and did a 10% upper pulley, which was way more difficult as the supercharger had to come out.

Here's a list of upgrades you can consider:
Intake
S/C Pulley (upper/lower)
Exhaust
High Flow cats
water/meth injection

Some of these mods are better done with other modifications that will compliment them. Like if you do the pulley upgrade, then it'd be wise to get an upgraded auxiliary water pump, or an additional heat exchanger for more air cooling.

Intake porting/boring would also compliment the intake and pulley mods.

Some of these mods are also DIY projects.

Upgrades to my XJR-100 are Stage II kit (upper/lower pulley, remapped ECU) high flow intercooler recirc pump, Mina intake pipe and filter box, Mina exhaust. S/C rebuilt.

How did you remap the ECU?

Or should I be asking- who remapped your ECU?

How's the car feel with the mods done? My dad recently sold his XJR, but I would definitely upgrade the braking. Especially with mods.

Lessons learned, if you’re going to increase the boost you need to check to see if you have the improved/later duct seals and clamp plate (ask me how I know) also a metal intake pipe as the increased intake pulls in the factory plastic tube.

Definitely pulls stronger, but it's not a complete transformation. The biggest difference is the supercharger whine. From my experience, it seems like there is more gain from the intake than the pulley. And yeah, I have a new set of rotors and pads, but they aren't bigger/better. The mods I have now only adds around 25hp I'd say, so not enough to compromise its braking abilities.

For brakes, Jaguar offered the Brembo kit, along with SuperSport suspension packages on the XJR100 and R1 spec' XJR's. They are a direct bolt on, but for completeness using the stubs instead of tapping the standard was advised, braking being rather important.

Speaking to people in the UK (where all the original tuning was carried out on these cars) for example Racing Green, Paramount Performance the remaps weren't a great success, sometimes not flashing correctly and a general fuel dump v rpm - compared to today's comprehensive full range mapping. Also, Jaguar's proprietary fuel maps run very happily with twin screw applications, so not really worth the expense imo.

I've done all the mods and more besides, the only way to get night and day from stock is bigger displacement or twin screw - both ain't bolt on, and can be expensive.
