Default 2002 XJ8 cranks but won't start

Ran fine the other day, now won't start. Cranks fine, but not super fast. Tried the cylinder wash process of cranking w accel pedal floored for 15sec 4 times.Codes are just a knock sensor that's been on for a couple weeks and P1000. Can hear the fuel pump and I get a face full of gas when I press the schrader. NOID light doesn't flash with cranking but I do have power on one terminal with key on. When I crank and watch live data the RPMs, MAF, and TPS all react so near as I can tell I just lost injector pulse. Anyone have a guess? Will the crank sensor give the ECU RPMs while the cam sensor would give injector pulse? I was hoping for a cam or crank sensor code but there's nothing. Dunno if that's just because it hasn't ran with this issue?

The last two situations I had were they would crank but no start both of them were the keys and have a new one made and then reprogram instant start

throw a crank sensor at it, it’s quick

key will usually give you a P1260

is knock sensor code generic or jaguar specific? they not always mean the same thing between car brands
maybe your noid is giving false negative? check if it really injects anything
In theory, if rpm reacts then crank sensor reports to ecu, problem with the key should prevent it from cranking at all (at least mine does), cam sensor report timing advance and shouldn't suppress injector pulse
maybe try easy things first, check and charge battery if needed, give it an hard reset,

Take off air intake to butterfly valve and give it a squirt of starter fluid. If fires up for a second or two, you know probably fuel issue and not ignition.

So verified fuel pressure..verified no injector pulse (always hot on one terminal, no cycling ground on other.) I'll re-read the knock codes tomorrow and post those.

There is a specific relay called the fuel injection relay and fuses

See page 37 , Control Module Enclosure Relays

Fuel Injection Relay ,, you will have to put your finger on it and feel for it to click closed .

http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Auto.../jagxj2002.pdf

Fuse # 5 / 10 amp Engine Management fuse box , fuse hot at all times l

Fuse # 5 / 10 amp Engine Compartment fuse box , this reies on the Engine Compartment relay to close called the Ignition Positive Relay , must feel it click closed
