If that $100 includes removal, rebuild and reinstallation, you have saved a ton. And there is no guarantee that the "new" Denso is not a Chinese rebuild, cleaned, painted, and reboxed. Plus yours or somebody else's labor. It is a bitch to get the thing out. And the rebuild guy typically checks your whole electrical system since his business is based on his reputation which he guards religiously.

On my alternator, I struggled for hours, couldn't loosen some bolts. Indy wanted $200 plus labor to replace with a rebuilt; local alternator/starter guy had it done in minutes for half the price.

But it is not my money.

Alright guys! exciting news!! replaced the starter today, had the car on my friends lift swapped it out and cranked it and the car started right up! motor ran smooth without a single click or ticking sound from it. Drove it home, check engine light was on so ill check that out, speedometer was not working, all the other gauges were working perfect except the speedo. the car needs pads asap. can someone please tell me where i can get pads for this car? a link would be great, please remember the 100 has the brembo brakes and that is why i cant find pads for it.

Well Done, I've been following your progress on this hoping you'd get there in the end. The speedo is electronic so check all the connections associated with it are seated properly, the check engine light should produce a code to let you know the problem.

I've out the link to Jaguar's parts website where you can get the part numbers for your brakes, you may well be able to find them cheaper elsewhere using the part numbers.
Hope this helps,

I'm not a fan of them for parts, but Advanced Auto Parts had the ones for mine. They do list your XJR100... https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/c3...ds-shoes/15694 ....and not badly priced either, but not top end. Guess it depends if you want them today?
Here's another site I prefer... https://frugalmechanic.com/ ...its a web crawler for parts. They'll have better performance ones and usually at descent prices.

Option: Ceramic Premium Pads (#PE-08100;05921) ($0.00)
Quantity: 1
Sets: Front & Rear (4 Wheel Brake Kit)
Color: Black

- XJR
- With 355mm Diameter Front Rotors

If you just want the expensive brake look :

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...08-xjr-102878/

Someone tapped in real stubby torque bolts to make it look more real .

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...alipers-63647/

To chrome the clips would be a mater of finding a source , but there would be a question of flexibility popping the chrome plating . Or you might paint the clips high temp white as a more economical try . Normal temp gloss platinum white might even work as the high temps colors from what I know are not as bright . If they're real Brembo's ? I won't tell anyone if you don't tell anyone .

Source for the white jaguar sticker ? Will it deform / discolor from heat even if trapped by a clean overcoat ?
