I am posting this new thread because I could not find another thread with instructions & illustrations that covered 2003 XJ8 Transmission Drain/Fill and the R&I for the Transmission Pan and Filter.

Here are 3 PDF files I extracted from the JTIS Repair CD:

There maybe a couple of other threads describing how to do the Drain & Fill without using the PDU device. I will try to find and include them at a later date.

Someone awhile back was selling (and maybe still is selling) a transmission dipstick unit to install on these cars. Would that eliminate all the rigamarole that the factor procedure requires?
