Hi all:

I recently bought a 2003 VDP with almost 75,000 miles on her. The car runs great and I want to keep it that way. I do not know the history on when spark plugs were changed or if the transmission fluid and filter have ever been changed (I suspect that both are original).

I would appreciate it if you could confirm what the correct part numbers are for service items such as plugs (PFR5G-13E (OEM) or BKR5EIX-11 (Iridium), oil filter (EAZ1354?) & transmission pan/filter and the lowest cost place to purchase them in the USA.

I forgot about the oil. The previous owner said he used Castrol GTX 5W-30 exclusively and changed it every 3 months or 3000 miles. Now that the car is up to 75,000 miles would you recommend sticking with the same oil or the Castrol 5W-30 high mileage semi-synthetic?

 

I'd recommend Rock Auto, they have all the common service items at a good price.
