Default 99 VDP - All O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Codes

Hi gents,

Just had the CEL come on this week, showing a failure of the heater circuits for every o2 sensor on the car. Is there a central fuse or relay that could be toast? Feeling like this is probably a single-source issue. As always, your thoughts are appreciated.

Best,

David

The heated O2 sensors are controlled in 2 ways. First is power from a 30amp fuse at #11 iin the engine management control fuse box. It is the smaller one under the bonnet. The second is some are equipped with a relay #6 in the passenger side control box with a 10amp fuse at #14 in the engine management control box.
The heated sensors are only the uppers. The relays are all the same so you can switch one around if yours was equipped with relays. I recommend relay #2 that one is the A/C clutch relay and won't effect engine operation.

Thanks for the information. I'll check out the fuse box tonight and report back

Default Any reports on the fuse situation?

Was a blown fuse or bad relay the problem ?
