99xj8 fuel filter / o-ring stupid question
OK, silly question time. Replaced fuel filter last night, unknown to me before I removed old filter was that o-rings are used on end of fuel lines at connection to filter. I should've realized something was up, when I saw the straight threaded fitting with no flare fitting recess in filter. Anyhow, I buttoned up without the use of new o-rings. Should I go to the trouble of chasing down new o-rings (dealer I presume) and install to prevent future complications, or if it doesn't leak now, do you reckon things will be fine? I'd hate to develope a leak over the exhaust pipe. I know what you're thinking, the textbook answer is to replace the o-rings. I quess I need a shove in one direction or another. I've got some stubby wrenches enroute, pain in the neck with standard length wrenches. Stop laughing......
Thank you,
Ralph

Sean,
I knew better. In the interest of time, I located some at the local Jag dealer today. Will pick them up and install. Just needed slapped around...a bit.
Thanks for the reply.
