Default AC struggling...

My AC takes a while to get to cooler temps, it at idle, it never gets up there. I have to be actually driving to get the AC to kick in... and then today, after I shut off the car, the fan ran for like 10 minutes...

Anyone with any thoughts on this? Low freon? Bad thermostat?

have you checked that both electric fans are working ...one of mine stopped working and the same thing happened to my ac...it is easy enough to check, just let the car idle and you should see both of them spin when the AC is on

Mine is doing the same thing, at idle, it struggles to blow cold...sorta just cool. Only under power does it really cool down.

I know its not the t-stat, mine is brand new. Had a pressure test, no leaks found. I was going to just a can of freon next time I get up to a shop. Keep us updated if you find any 'solution'. I'll follow your thread.

Checked out the freon... Levels are fine, no fans though, doing an electrical test now.

Marko: Has this improved the cooling efficiency - registers start flowing colder/faster?
