Yeah I went deep into the battery rabbit hole on the forum. Came to accept that they are all from the same 2-3 companies w/a different sticker on them. Just decided I wanted to go w/ AGM this time. That said it too will be on a maintainer whenever parked for more than 2-3 days.

 

Yeah, Don B pointed that out a couple yrs back, that all our batteries are made by just a couple of producers, thus it pays to shop around. I've had my AGM for about 2 yrs now, its been flawless and yes, like yourself, I keep a battery tender on it when not in use for at least a week. Mainly because of the work I do, I could be out of town a lot longer than originally scheduled...not that you'd know of such work Charles... I need to get up your way and say hi.

 

Soooo. With those thoughts in mind it would seem the best approach would be to find
the cheapest battery with the best and longest warranty. At $170 that would seem to be
the Walmart offering.

Tell me these don't look almost identical, except for cap...

 

Longer warranty also...4 year at Walmart. .
