Default best place to buy gaskets? ?

I took apart the top of my engine today and put it back together in a failed attempt to eliminate a vacuum leak. (Got worse) I tried to re-use the gaskets by sealing them with aviation (like hi-tach).

At any rate my local dealer's price for the gaskets that go between the head and intake manifold are priced at $67 EACH. The gaskets between the coolers and manifolds are like $20 each. Does anyone know where they could be had cheaper? I do not need them fast.

britishparts.co.uk
You can get a kit of gaskets for smt. like 300$
Lots of gaskets and seals inside - intake gaskets, exhaust gaskets, valve covers gaskets, timing cover gaskets, pump&thermostat gaskets, valve seals, crank seals and so on.
JLM 20750 IIRC.

$67 bucks!!....that's crazy!!
There are any number of places in the US to buy gaskets at sensible prices....somebody's doing a bit of gouging big time!

Jaguar uises a gasket system that is fitted dry...no sealnts are used...they just make a mess and ineficient.

You can try Amazon.....FCP Groton....British Parts Place...Coventry West...Jagbits....try doing a google search for Jaguar XJ8 gaskets....you will come up with a host of places.

Tghe most common places for vacuum or intake air leaks are the trunking sealsd from MAF to TB....cracked anti resonator tubes on trunking....full load breather piper on A-bank (right0....part load beather on B-bank (left)....pipe from engine to brake booster.

Simple method of tracing a vac leak is to use a can of earo-start and spray a little on suspect area....if engine revs rise, you have found your leak ;o))

You can order these gaskets from Gaudin Jaguar Parts.com - located in Las Vegas NV
