CD changer, ... interchangeable?
If I remember right the x350 uses the newer alpine fiber optic interface, so everything is redone since the x308. Otherwise, the cd changer hack aux method might be more popular on the x350's...
I'm not even sure if the CD changer swaps between HK and Alpine x308's, since the Alpine x308 amp connects to the HU thru the AINet cable, and the HK amp is a direct signal and the AINet cable just goes to the cd changer directly. That may be wrong though, it could just be the HK and Alpine amps that don't interchange. But that's all off topic...

I believe the change to Ai-Net was around 99/00. I believe you can swap like for like, so you can swap any Ai-Net changer, whether it was HK or not.
Not entirely sure about the pre-Ai-Net ones though, as I've only really studied the 2001 wiring diagrams

Hi I have just escaped from the x350 section where I have been lurking for many years.
I have CD player with CD changer in the boot.
The vehicle is 17.5 years old
Plays a CD for 40 secs then stops-no sound
Every CD position the same.
I think maybe new motor needed but what do you people think?
