Default Central locking button (center console) not working

Greeting gentlepeople,

Somewhere in the forum maze there's a thread I posted about my drivers door lock actuator seizure and replacement. The outcome was that I learned the hard way that an actuator (itself) from another door is actually not the same model as the driver door (the latter has 4 wires into a larger plug, as opposed to the others 2 wires and smaller plug). I ended up only connecting the 2 wires and got the actuator to work with the remote key, or manually lifting the lock. The central locking button on the center console would not work. I blamed, then, the wrong actuator and the 2 wires not connected. Ok - so last week-end I took all apart again to access the latch and replace with the correct 4 wire actuator. Outcome? Central lock button still not working.

Pressed the "submit" button too soon, sorry. Was going to end asking if anyone else has experienced this, and if there's something else I should be investigating.

Cheers

Many thanks. I will hold into this. For whatever mysterious reason it decided to work again. But we all know the time will come around again when the gremlin living inside decides to put a spell :-)

Cheers

I have found that if the screws that hold the switch panel into the larger panel are even the tiniest bit loose, the switches don't work.
