ive got some snap ring pliers… these hoses don’t look very brittle comparatively, but what’s the likelihood that using snap rings is going to snap the fixture?
what is the name of this tool? That might help
im thinking that the heater hose remover isn’t actually what I need for this…
I don’t want to break these too lol
found out that my plug tube seals were bad, yay!

Reason: I’m stoopid
Soooo… is it possible to cut these off and use a small rubber hose?
my snap ring pliers will not fit into the connection where I think they should go, or even where I think that they shouldn’t go.
using water pump pliers, I squeeze opposite where the flared parts are, correct? I’ve tried both places to no avail. I don’t remember how I got the other one off, it just came off.
I found something similar on Amazon, called a ford heater hose quick disconnect tool. It has 5/8” and 3/4” ends.
im measuring between .733” to .746” on my connectors, so I think this is a viable option. If I were in the UK, or wanted to wait a month, I can find the 303-623 there.
even eBay us doesn’t have it.
I get 10% of all sales if someone makes it for the us market!
I built one out of snap ring plier blades, corner brackets, and hose clamps. It’s adjustable… but haven’t found the exact distance to pop these off. I’m probably off by .5mm.
bah, I don’t think ford could make this much more difficult if they tried
Why doesn’t this contraption work? It has just enough flexibility that I have to squeeze it to fit into the connector. When I release it, it opens the connector. But it will not come off.
Thanks randy! It only took a couple/3 hours to make and 8 models, but it’s actually working great!
I had to push it further down, and they came off relatively easy.
unfortunately I’m stuck again. The first 2 photos are from the write up that I am using. I don’t understand if I’m looking for 1 or 2 hoses. I do not see any hoses with the clamp that’s mentioned, and none really match up to what I have. Am I looking for a rubber hose/hoses? I think the plastic one is the plb hose.
I am kind of pointing with a pick up tool that has blue tape on the end. I don’t want to risk breaking hoses that I don’t need to remove in the first place.
hopefully they are clear enough… and I’m pointing to the correct one/ones.
thanks so much peeps!

Forum member xjrguy provided the part number and these comments: Part# MNC6733AC Hose set, to Expansion Tank and Engine - "The one labeled "hose set" is an octopus for sure."

"It's the Mother of All Jag Hoses. Part #MNC6733AE ---- I wish I could find this mindless rubber octopus somewhere for less than the cost of... sigh... whatever. I think I'll wait for this one to burst. Nothing wrong with it... I was simply changing out hoses for good measure. This one will have to wait. Other things need to get done first."
