Default Cooling Fan Replacement?

One of my radiator fans went out. Over the life of the car I have replaced both fans with junkyard fans and eventually with a rebuilt fan. Not too many electric motor shops seem keen to rebuild.

Does anyone have a source for new or rebuilt fans? MotorCars has them for $299 which seems a bit excessive for a single fan. I well aware that there are plenty of used ones on Ebay, but would prefer one that is new or rebuilt.

Thanks!

Have you tried contacting some of the sponsors for the forum?

As for sponsors

Jagbits $225 for a used fan

SNG Barratt $928 for new fans and cowell

I would prefer rebuilt, new or some form of substitution that others have found works well.

I've always used these guys for fan upgrades, they've a big range and top quality.
Kenlowe Engine Cooling Fans If you get the dimensions I'm pretty sure you can adapt the fans into the frame. I'd be interested if you do...

Dang, was looking forward to giving them a try.

Kenlowe only supply fans to vehicle manufacturers/engineering companies and field replacements for existing specialist applications. We no longer make or supply thermo electric fan packages for retrofit on individual cars for the automotive aftermarket.

Hi dneider,

Just so we're all on the same page, what is the year, model and engine of your Jaguar?

Cheers,

Don

I don't know if this will help you find an affordable replacement, but the same fans & motors were used in the '93-94 X40s, the X300s, and the X308s. The electrical connectors changed over the years, but the same fans & motors fit all these cars. The fans and motors in the X100 appear to also be the same, but the shroud/cowl is different.

Cheers,

Don
