Default Cylinder 5 Misfire -- Knock sensor..

So, today I finally replaced the knock sensor in bank 2 (drivers side) after getting a CEL that it was having an issue. replaced with a Duralast (denso) from Autozone. Finally get it in, start the car, drive it, no issues, no CEL, nothing. Drive it about 10 miles, get to a relatives house, pop in for about an hour, come out, start the car. Put it in reverse. Boom! Restricted performance... I figured it's related to the other code I have been having pop up recently (p0355 - Ignition coil E Primary/ Secondary circuit). I get that once in a blue moon, and it usually clears itself up within a minute or two of driving the car. Drive the car about 8 more miles, and it's not going away. Now, this is where it gets interesting. NO CEL on... Pull over, decide to see what this RP mode is all about, pull the codes, I get P0305 (misfire cylinder 5)... Anyone ever have an issue like this before? I want to see if anything like this has ever happened to anyone before I go tearing it apart again.

Thanks!

Well, this is the time that it just didn't feel like fixing itself. You'll probably end up replacing the coil. However, just swap it with a coil next to it and see if the code goes away or goes to that cylinder.

I agree. And, as you seem to know, it is highly unlikely the knock sensor and the misfire are relayed in any way.

UPDATE! So, I was originally planning to simply move the coil pack with a different cylinder, and check the plug. Before I did that I figured I'd let the car sit over night and see what happened, seeing as the misfire came on pretty randomly.

SURE ENOUGH! Fire up the car this morning, no RP mode, no misfire, nothing.... could bore wash cause a misfire and could it cause a misfire in one specific cylinder?

My experience with any car with COP's is they either fail quickly, randomly or slowly, working one day and not the next. It's been said more then once and I'm puzzled why it hasn't been done. Move the coil! Then if it moves there's no more searching, no more speculations.
