Default Does anyone know the ignition coil resistance specs?

2001 vanden plas, naturally aspirated.

And to test, it's pins 2 & 4, correct?

Also, if you happen to know the resistance specs on the cam position sensor, that would be additionally helpful! :-)

Many, many thanks!

Hi SirJag
How are you doing? We have missed you on the forum.

Here are 2 PDF files I created from JTIS21 Shop Repair Manual:

Ignition Coil Pinpoint Test:

XJ (X308) Ignition Coil (JTIS21) Pinpoint Test .pdf

Cam Position Sensor Checking Pinpoint Test:

XJ (X308) Cam Position Sensor Checking (JTIS21) Pinpoint Test .pdf

I hope this helps

Hi Uncle Jag Jim! :-)

Yes, the VDP hasn't been driven much. That's what happens when a new baby comes into the house... I never go out anymore... HA!

Thanks so much for your "right-on-the-money" assistance! You're always so willing to help others... you're one in a million, Jim!

Now, with ANOTHER baby on the way (Aug), I figure that if I don't get the ol' VDP in shape before then, it'll just rot in the garage and one day I'll walk out and see a pile of rust about 8 feet high... with a beautifully shiny leaper where the hood once was.

So thanks again. I hope to do some more interacting with the great folks here... like YOU!

Sincerely,
SirJag
