I had same exact problem I honestly can't remember correctly but I think I disconnected the battery and touched battery cables together then the car locked if that didn't work remove door panel disconnect then connect the body control . For now try to lock it by the key see if it works

Can it do any harm to the ecu touching neg and pos together? door panel is off at the moment waiting on some clips. Handle isnt connected waiting on that too. Was wondering if I had shorted anything with pliers at going everywhere trying to get the nylon grommet at the lock end of its cable in its hole

I’ve run across this a handful of times. On the bottom of the door lock assembly is a black rectangular box. This is the solenoid. The mechanism inside is locked up or at minimum, binding. To prevent this from happening is to remove ALL the door lock assemblies from the car, throughly clean and lubricate them. This will prevent further locking/unlocking issues for a number of years.

Got the new second hand good door handle....connected at lock end the little nylon grommet with great difficulty...trick there is to remove door lock buton rod...give u more access, then employ small mirror, a flashight in the mouth and multi grips. But I digress after getting it all together again still got locking issue, dc battery, touched pos and neg together, cleaned terminals re atached after 10 mins and hey presto she locks and stays locked. Thanks fellow x308 owners.
Now ive just got no traction/stability control and no abs....at least thats what the warnings say on the dash....

Ahh that old chestnut. Normally ABS sensors, wiring to them (fronts crack due to the all the steering movement) or broken solder joints in the ABS control module. Pretty sure all three issues give the same codes as they all mean the controller can't see the sensor or wheel speed. Still at least the code tells you which corner to look at.

Enjoy.

You will need good obd reader that can read brake system code it will tell you what part exactly need to be replaced usually it 1 or 2 sensor it's not expensive if you get aftermarket I hope it's not the module itself
