driver's door won't open from i.s. or o.s. handles
thanks again to you members, a lot smarter than myself for the procedure to open my hood after both cables became disconnected.
New problem: my driver's door handle on the inside broke releasing the cable. I ordered a new handle but before i installed it the outer handle has become disconnected. The inside cable is no longer connected to the locking mechanism, offering no resistance when pulled.
With the door in the closed position i see no way to remove the inner panel of the door to access the cables and/or locking mechanism
Is there anyway to get my door open to perform the repair shown in the factory manual?

You should be able to remove the inner door-molding panel with the door closed, search this forum for the removal process. I've done it with the door open when my cable snapped and do not remember detaching anything that could not be accessed with the door closed. If I recall correctly, it was just two screws and then pull each connector off, including the main center-area one which requires substantial force but is apparently the correct way to remove it.

Its not going to be fun, but your first piece to remove will be the screw holding the armrest in place. Then you'll need to figure how to work the panel grommets free to move the panel out from the bottom rear. Then get enough lift to get it over the door lock so you can see down in and perhaps get a coat hanger or similar hook on your release.
The first one is the passenger side detail, but the drivers is the same, it was the only detail with the grommets I could find.
