EGR-related code - need new TB and EGR gasket?
I cleaned the throttle body a few weeks ago (removed it completely as it was pretty nasty); tonight it came up with a CEL and p0400 today - I assume the EGR needs to be removed and cleaned (perhaps the cleaning of the TB put more material into the valve?), which I should have done when doing the TB?
In my engine (built in 01) the TB had a black adapter plate, and not the green gasket that the dealer (and parts geek) thought originally based on VIN. Does this need to be replaced with a new one again when I do the EGR?
Also, does the EGR gasket need replacing when I clean the EGR? Are there weird different versions of that gasket like there appears to be for the TB?
Thanks!
