hello,
I was installing my ebay cd changer with no key in the ignition, plugged it in,put the key in the ignition turned to on. The antenna didn't go up and I got no read out on the radio. I turned
the ignition off and unplugged the changer. I now have nothing, no lights, no horn, no starter, no seat adjustment nothing. I have checked all the fuses I can find, engine bay,
trunk. all fuses check out ok. I'm hoping for suggestions. This car is a 2000 xjr. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Check the ground lanyard cable coming off the battery. They can go bad, mine did...twice I got a total loss of power, as you describe it before I found the issue on mine.

Other than that, review the attached pdf's....
