Default Which Engine Bolts Need LocTite

Doing timing chains, et al. on my 1998 XJ8 4.0L and would like to know on which fasteners the thread locking product would be recommended. Otherwise I just guess based on viewing the removed fastener threads.
Also interested in knowing if I should oil the bolts at installation into aluminum and if the torque value tables are for oiled and LocTited fasteners.
Posted this in the general area based on its applicability to all vehicles.

I'm thinking no oil as it could cause cracking. But see what others say.

If I'm to replace bolts with signs of thread lock I buy new...
