Hi.
I don't hear a whistle, sounds like my car .
But your in front of it. If you definitely hear a whistle sound check those corrugated lines for a crack or where they connect into the intake maybe all you have is a small vacuum leak that would throw a lot of things off. And your idle would drop some....
You know the longer you spend with your head under the hood and the engine running the more weird stuff your going to hear..
Did you test drive it after the new coil was replaced?

Not yet, I’ll do it in the morning when going for my post lock down hair cut 😂😂 I’ve heard the engine before and that whistle is new, but doesn’t seem to be harming anything so I’ll just keep an eye on it, exhaust sounds quieter to but still think it’s blown 😂

I'm pretty sure if your cats are clogged / blown you would really feel a difference.
from now on only listen to the engine with the bonnet / hood down.
it's less expensive that way...

I don't hear a whine either, but if you do, ....then don't worry, ....everything will be fine...wink, wink....

Other than that, check your serpentine, you either could need a new one or a bearing could be screaming at you. The bearings are easy to replace and 1/2 the cost if just replacing it vs the whole pulley.

Hey Jay, hope your doing well partner....I'm not in Zombie Land at the moment. I'm in SC doing some contracting and killing myself in the heat and humidity. I hate exterior property work.

So the cruise control won’t work anymore, completely fine before the fuel pump died, any ideas? Could I have hit a wire in the boot maybe or something like that? Thoughts are welcome before I start a new thread 😂

I hope its not the clock spring or multi function handle switch? But as you know to do, check the relays and connections.

Don’t suppose you know where they’re located? Are they next to the fuel pump relay?

It could be the cruise cancel switch at the brake pedal. See this thread (https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...n-light-76654/) and search for more.

I’m not even going to say anything except I’ve no idea how that happened, I’ve pressed that once in 6 years and that was to switch it on 😂 always check the basics first guys
Pleased I read other people’s threads before I did something silly
