Just bought this 2002 XJ8. Any idea what these are? Never saw before so don’t think stock. Looks like glued on rubber. Not sure if want to remove because might lift paint.

That's odd. But no, never seen it before.

Maybe they poked a hole in one side, by reversing into something spiky, or similar, and thought they would put something on both sides for a balanced look?

Obviously, the stickers are there to show you where the exhaust pipes are.

Those are not attractive; since we’re both in Pensacola and my car is also Onyx White, I’m beseeching you to remove them lest someone think that’s my car! I’d try Goo Gone and dental floss; start at one corner and work carefully. The clear coat is pretty tough!

We have a winner. This was under the right side. A little touch up paint will look much better than the prior fix.

The prior owner made another dumbfounding addition. This was adhesive taped over the growler on the steering wheel. It weighs about the same as a belt buckle. Wouldn’t want it coming off in an air bag deployment.

At least it didn’t come with 20” spinners.

I have seen that kind of cosmetic "repair" on a few cars, but never on a Jaguar. A little spot putty and factory matched paint and it could be made near invisible.
I had a car with something similar on the outer wheel well and that works ok as long as there is no rust.

I just ordered the Jaguar onyx white paint repair kit with primer, paint and clear coat.
