Ok guys been loving my 99 XJR but there are a few small probs that I dont understand and need some help with.

When I first got it the auto locks didnt bother me cus the door always unlocked when I pulled the handle. Then I guess the handle (because jag in their infinite wisdom, think plastic 2nd tensioners, made the door handle mounts outta thin plastic.) broke so found a used one replaced it and it opens the door fine but if I try and do it after the auto locks have locked the door and I try and open it too fast it jams the drivers door so I have to lock and unlock it before the door will open. Any ideas why this would suddenly start happening??


Ok next weird prob is my radio works awesome and the CD player works great but from time to time I get the E-01 code and the CD player cartrige has to be taken out and put back in and then works for a while. Its never jammed just has to be taken out and put back in. Now heres the weirdest thing I love station 97.1 and its what I normally listen too. But for some unknown reason when I try and listen to it in my 99 it plays ok for a bit then just goes quiet. No other station does this and if I change to a different station and go right back to 97.1 it works fine for a bit. If it were all stations i could see a more logical reason but its only on 97.1 any ideas????

 

Sounds like the AF feature is enabled (Alternate Frequency)
