Shock bushings

I`m curious why you didn`t just change the bushings, under a hundred dollars, and opted for the whole top plate replacement. Aloha

Funny. I was just about to make a similar thread. I found a set online for $60 and just finnished about an hour ago changing them out. Little bit better rubber but not too hard to induce vibration or clunking.

How hard was it to replace the bushings? I've read you need a "press" of some sort to install. Can you tell me what steps you took?
