In the fuse box area in the trunk, there are 4 or 5 relays (brownish/yellowish) that look the same. One if for the fuel pump, are all of those relay's the same?
If the part numbers are the same they should have the same high amperage rating . Item # 1 / LJA6703AA
supperceded by C2P11192 . Air Conditioning relay is the same . You only have # 1 fuel pump on non - supercharged engine .
You can take 2 blade connectors and place them in the 2 larger relay sockets to power the pump as this would bypass the relay control side of the circuit and get you full power to the pump . High current arcing hazard so have battery terminal removed while placing jumper in sockets .
There are 2 fuses in the single pump setup like yours one for the main power and one for relay control
Can you elaborate on your pump issue as the pump is controlled by the ECU by the Crankshaft sensor seeing engine rotation to turn it back on a second time during the starting sequence . This is a safety / crash design feature . The Crankshaft sensor my be intermittent and not flagging a code .

I pulled the pump, after 5 hours of trying to reach the lines. When installing the new pump I noticed that the connect at the pump is damaged/falling apart. Then I looked close at the pump I pulled and noticed what appears to be a burnt spot on the + connector. Looking for a wire pigtail now.
Hi . I wonder is someone could help . I have a similar issue 2005 xj tdvi 2.7 diesel . Bo codes on obd . Won't start . If mechanic gives live feed to the wire underneath resr boot fuse box it starts . Thats the only way to start it .
Vern reading here ref the possible fuel relay failing. Where is this located. Front fuse box or rear ?...built in or something easily replaced ie not built in ?
Parker myself does not have the electrical redesigned X308 but the electrical layout may be the same through the X308 years with some detail exceptions
Only 1 fuel pump for normally aspirated V - 8 same as inline 6 X300 model like mine
The map / picture of the trunk relay box is for the X308 / V - 8 as that was part of the electrical redesign / components / layout , both X300 and X308 cars electrically function pretty much the same
In the reverse sense when changing a high current device like a pump motor on a hard fail there was always an engineering call out to change the associated relay and at least inspect the motor connector for socket arcing / burning . In a blind situation by cutting open the relay and eyeball on the power contact inside the relay gives a clue on the condition of the commuter / brush without the task of changing the buried pump as a reliability precaution or the lack of a pump testing instrument / procedure
The regulated fuel pressure is 43 psi at idle and goes up to 47 on throttle up and you sometimes on the V - 8 have a test fitting on left or right atop engine fuel rails
