Gear box loom
Hi all,
Please help!.
I'm welding in a new drivers side floor pan and the job has grown as they tend to do.
I've manage to pull out a pair of black and white wires that connect to the gear box harness in the foot well by way of a gray connector, there is also a yellow one for reference. LNC3030DH is the loom number.
can anyone tell me where these wires belong as the car is now in failsafe mode showing a gearbox error on the dash but wont talk to my OBD reader.
when I try and start her the fuel pumps don't prime, she's just dead.
I'm sure someone can help.
Thanks all in advance.

Hi Howard, I would attach a wiring pdf for these cars but for you to view and download I think you need to get your post count up. The best way of doing this in engage in the "New Members" forum on here.
The forum requires Model, Model Year and Engine for us to respond with the right channel of info.
For now I would suggest searching on the Classic Jaguar parts site for the LNC3030DH - It should give you an idea of where it lives.

Thanks for the reply Sean.
I've got the wiring diagram on cd.
From what I can see, and I'm no sparky! It appears to be for the kick down switch, which I'm having difficulty in finding as it doesnt appear to be attached the the peddle.
the wires are only about 500mm long so they must connect under the steering wheel somewhere but i cant see any connectors in need of wires.
I should add the wires have pins on where it's been pulled out of a connector.
The car is a 98 X308 XJR 4.0..
thanks
