How do you set the seat memory in a 2003 XJ8?

I was not sure if your 2003 XJ8 is a X308 model (1998 - 2003) or a 2003.5 X350 (2003.5 - 2007).

Go to page 65 in the PDF file for the driver seat memory controls instructions and illustrations.

If your Jaguar is a 2003.5 X350 model, please ask for the "Before Driving Information" on X350 PDF file and I will post it.

Thank you those both are very helpful manuals to have! How would I know if it was an X308 or X350? We got the car last week and this is all new to me. The paperwork said 2003 jaguar xj if that helps. Is there a way to tell with the vin number or something?

 

All you need to do is know whether it's the older body style, like my car, or the newer one.

What is your vin number on your 2003 XJ8?
I found a Ebay listing for 2003 XJ8 x308 showing a vin code of SAJDA24C23LF57935

The JEPC (Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog) appears to show the vin code for XJ8 (X308) stops at F59525 (last 6 characher of the vin code).

Also found an Ebay listing for 2004 XJ8 (X350) with vin code of SAJWA74CX4SG25024

I think that probably the 2003.5 X350 is refers to as the beginning of the 2004 model year.

sweet thanks. Looks like a 308 to me. last part of the vin is F54180. This is my wife and I's first Jaguar and we just got it last sunday! we love it .

 

The way I set the memory for mine, Of corse i have a 1998 xj8. It might be different but you might try it anyways. ( I set the seat to my comfort and then I press memory and then the number you select for instance # 1. you will hear a beep in your speakers letting you know the memory was excepted.

Does anyone have an owners manual download for a 1998 XJ8?
