how to replace rear rotors
So I did one on Monday then the weather turned so now working on the drivers side rear. Seems it it being held on via what I would say is the parking brake adjuster. How do I get the old rear rotor off on this side?
Is it moving at all on the hub? Does it rotate freely? That sixth hole in the rotor hat is to back off the adjuster.
If it is not moving on the hub and rotates freely it may just take a BFH to get it loose. I had to beat the crap out of mine, and when that didn't work, took it to a trusted mechanic who beat it with an even bigger hammer. Got both of them off, but the left side one came off in pieces - he had to hit it that hard. No rust, just a very tight factory fit.
