See a few reviews citing noise w/ them, noise is a big detractor for me.

 

This seems to be a refrain with many tires -- personally, I have not had the problem specific to the DSW. Being in the mid atlantic with all the rain (especially this year) and some snow -- I need an AS with a bit of grip. I find Michelin tires to be too hard ,,, you can't kill them (although I did this year) .. but they just don't have the rain/ snow I want. Have 15 vehicles that I maintain .... so I'm always buying tires. I have MXM4's on my SL -- they are quiet and the car never sees rain or snow. They are the typical OE on our Lexus vehicles and they do tend to work well on MB's -- personally I don't like them on the Jaguar .... The Jaguar OE tires when new had special sidewalks and low PSI ... summer only.

Prior to the Continental love .. most of my cars got Bridgestone. Have nothing bad to say about them -- the Continentals gave me equal service -- better snow grip and they are typically 2/3 the price. Tirerack now has free shipping and free road hazard on tires,
