My plan is to position the woodruff key on the front crankshaft up and locate the correct position for the flex plate, although it can only be 180 degrees off?

I'll look at the pistons as well to make sure all is fine. I will post pics on teh swap thread as well- thanks!

Flex plate will only fit one way if the locating dowel is in place- had to shave a little off the flex plate as the AJ26 dowel was a tiny bit bigger than the AJ27's

Just thought I would add a little update- 20K miles along and it is still running like a champ.

I *may* swap out the AJ26 head with an AJ27 this fall since I have an XK8 coupe to drive around while I do and my son can do much of the work. OR I may build up one of the AJ27s I have in the garage and throw it in. Ah, decisions.
