Hi there.

I have a 2007 XJ8 and I'm having an issue with the courtesy lights.

The footwell lights are working as are the red door car lights but the ceiling lights aren't working above the driver and passenger seat and neither are the rear ones in the back handles.

I have checked the fuse as shown in the owners manual and it is fine.

I have removed the front roof assembly and changed the bulbs, one came on (right) for a short while and the center Flashed then that was it, left would not come on at all.

Now they aren't coming on, looking at the original bulbs they seem fine, perhaps it is something to to with the alignment of the pins when reattaching.

Also replaced the bulbs in the rear handles and no dice.

It is the XJ8 sport is that makes any difference.

 

Try the XJ350/358 section of the forum.

This is the X308 section.
