Default Jag Special Tools

Hi,

Any idea where you can get hold of these? Specifically tools regarding work on Suspension etc. I'm based in North America.

Thanks.

Well, you can buy them from OTC- See Jaguar Topix, but I very seriously doubt you want to. Which tools, pray tell are you interested in. You can get by with tools that are much cheaper. for instance, the spring compressor, the ABS nut socket, and the bearing press adapter cost me about $300 ($250. for the compressor) to buy or make. The OTC price is about $1,550 for those, as I recall.

Crikey. I was looking at replacing the lower control arms, but it maybe more cost effective to let a mechanic who has the tools do it!

For this job, if you only plan on doing once, the mechanic will be the safest, cheapest alternative. On the other hand, if you are somewhat loony like some of us, then the satisfaction of doing it yourself can overcome common sense.
