Default Key won't lock or unlock drivers door

Went to NYC this weekend and gave the valet key to the hotel only to have them come and say they couldn't lock the door. Seems none of my keys will lock or unlock the door but will open all the windows. Key fobs work just fine. Any ideas what the issue might be?

Keys work the trunk and glove box just fine.

Anyone?

If not has anyone taken it apart? I'm assuming it is all mechanical not electronic but before I open it hope hoping for some input.

Thanks Jim, I did see those prior to posting and none of them seem to fit my bill. Key fob works just fine door locks and unlock just fine inside as well. Key goes in and turns without a problem but doesn't unlock or lock it. I'm just kind of wondering what I might need before I take it apart. That way I can buy some used parts.

The link rod is missing or disconnected from the lock cylinder in the handle.

I researched the door lock link rod that is attached to the barrel cylinder lock.
The door lock link rod consists of 2 parts - link rod (part number GNA1111AB) and linkage clip (part number GNA1122AA)

Here is weblink to a JPEG that shows the R&R steps related to the door lock link rod, also has a photo of these 2 parts assembled on the door latch from Ebay listing -look at step 10 (click on image when webpage to get a larger view on images):

Thanks Jim, I owe you a beer token! Now I just need to wait for a warm day to take it apart as next week looks a little bitter.

Wish I could get JTIS to download into my windows 8 and work.

My guess is the linkage clip. The one in the trunk in plastic and they eventually break.
I am guessing the door is about the same. Fix it sooner rather than later. If the car
battery is dead, your FOB won't work.

Here is another forum thread with more instructions & illustrations on the front door handle/lock r&r info (see post# 5 in that thread):

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...y-ideas-50196/

the called out Front Door Trim Panel Finish Panel 76.47.11
you can skip - step 2. Remove veneer panel from casing
I recall that we did not have to remove the veneer panel the last time we removed the door panel (also known as the door card in TV series - Wheeler Dealers).
