I recently purchased a used 2001 XJR engine & Transmission with 15k miles on it and had them installed in my 1999 JJR. Works good, but it sat in a junk yard for 8 years and the mice probably eat throught a lot of the hoses and cables. The car is running in restricted mode and my mechanic wants $1,200 to replace the knock sensors. I can do a lot of work myself and want to try to do this job as almost all of it is labor (supercharger has to be taken off).

Has anyone attempted this on their own?

Before you remove the throttle body, made sure you have a tool to remove the quick-connect that is part of a vacuum hose you need to remove from the throttle body. I broke it and the hose retails for $80.
