Thank you for the response- does anyone else think it's odd that they don't? My previous car, a 1995 Lincoln mark VIII, had lighted controls, and both cars are made by ford.

Jaguars are not built by Ford. At that time Jaguar was part of the Prestige Auto Group (LM, Aston Martin, Volvo, Land Rover and Jaguar) that was owned by Ford Motor Co. However, they have seperate manufacturing plants, engineers, etc, and therefore Jaguars were never built by Ford.

They do share a few Ford parts but lit up steering wheels is not one of them.

They do light up, as soon i switch on the lights. They illuminate gently , right and left of the steering wheel.
I don't know what car you drive, i mean year, but on XJR 2004 they do illuminate.

This is the X308 section (98-03) and on these cars the steering wheels controls do not illuminate. Your car is a X350 series, completely different car. The X350's don't even the gas filler in the right place...:-).

Gee, I was just joking. The fuel filler on Jags has always been on top by the C pillar and with the X350 they went the Ford Taurus route by putting in the rear side breaking tradition. I drive a X350 XJR and it bugs me everytime I put car gas in it.
