hi guys so today I did bank A upper tensioner job the chain look tight when camshaft lobe face ground but when the flat lobes faces up the chain become loose and I can put my finger between the chain and the tensioner! is that normal? or there's something wrong? check pics please
You should be fine. But when you start it up, pull the relay for the fuel pump. This allows the tensioner to pressure up before it starts. Should stop the clatter you had on the left bank.. Should tighten it up a bit. On mine (been six years, so I am working from memory), the A bank seemed looser. Car ran like a top.
