Low Brake Fluid Level Warning
Hi all,
This post applies to my 1997 XK8 4.0 lt but perhaps the problem might also apply to Jag saloons.
The car has always been a problem child. Although low km and immaculate it has had numerous computer glitches.
Recently it has thrown up a Low Brake Fluid Warning. It followed closely on having a new traction control unit fitted.
The level is fine
I checked the connections at the reservoir, seems fine
I unplugged the wires from the reservoir, no change
I bridged the wires on the plug, no change
I disconnected the battery to perhaps reboot, no change
Nothing detracts from driving pleasure like a red light on the dashboard.
Jagdaim could only suggest another entire reservoir at a stupendous cost. I doubt this will cure the problem
does anyone have any thoughts or experience.
By the way is it possible to list on more than one forum simultaneously
all help gratefully accepted
