I was looking to make my 99 vp look a little more like the xjr, so I am going to buy metallic grille mesh inserts and replace the grille inserts I have now. Does anyone know where I can get a good price on these mesh inserts?

 

I have the lower mesh grille insert and it is pretty nice I am satisfied with it

have a look at eBay UK, or try the vendors on here, thing is they're not cheap but you should find some for $150 ish..

apologies for bumping a zombie thread (proof I did search!) but can you take a x308 XJR mesh grill (the inserts) and place them in a x308 XJ8? Theres a wrecked (in the rear) XJR in a junkyard I can grab the grills from but wanted to see if that was possible before i made the trip up there

I replaced my rather cheap (X308) plastic grille with a used pair of XJR mesh grille inserts.
They were a straight bolt in replacement for the original grill (you can use your original surround), took me about 1/2 hour...
