Default moon roof leakage

should have been discussed before

This morning driving in a pouring rain and discovered the the corner of the moon roof dropping water right above the passenger seat.

despite my car age from 2000, it never happened.

I opened up the roof later but did not find much water "inside of the moon roof mechanism"

so what happened and any fixes?

thanks in advance

Mostly likely you have a clogged tube or the seals need replacing.

The sliding roof has 4 drain tubes (one in each corner of the track) It is a SUNROOF or sliding roof. A moonroof is described as having a clear or glass panel.

I believe you would have to remove the headliner to get to the tubes.

Somebody might have a better way, but that the only way I see at getting to them.

The front ones can be cleaned with a blast of compressed air. The problem is that if the hose comes loose the fault becomes worse.

If the fronts can be cleaned with a little compressed air, why cant the rear? What is the best way to take care of unclogging the rears? Thanks in advance!
