Project updates: Bigger, adjustable MAF is finally there. Took a while to find right calibration for idle, but runs very nicely now even bit lot bigger fuel injectors. Unfortunately winter and snow came today and not possible to ajust the MAF for different closed loop rpms, but they should be quite close already. WOT adjusting needs open roads or dyno.

Pulley ratio has been changed to 2.22 and if change to 50-100% E85 goes well then next and most probably final step would be 2.42. Exhaust gets maybe X-Pipe.

The major target is just to have a lot of trouble free miles, since too much bad things has happened during last three years. If motivation will be enough high for testing 1/4mile next summer I think 11.3 would be very realistic target with this setup, but before that the cat wants to sleep well next five months

It's too bad you couldn't get any runs in this year. I was looking forward to seeing what kind of numbers you would run.
Oh well, I guess I can claim the fastest XJR for a little while longer

Put some tire chains on that sled and go out and drive it like you stole it.

My Ex fiancé was from near Rovaniemi and we also spent time in Oulu and Torneo. They don't salt the roads up there, I believe, so I would see a lot of old W124 Mercedes without any rust....

You are right. We call them "Lapland cars". My car is very well rust protected but after the first winter driving it daily I realised that better to put it into the garage waiting for summer. Winter tires are required here from Dec to end of Feb. Most people use studded tires and this makes roads to very bad condition. That photo was taken a couple years ago since I wanted to take car out of garage for unsalted small rods at -20C. During last weeks for a reason i dn't know, all rods have been unsalted even here in southern Finland - which is basically good for all others than heavy trcuks. Actually all early month snow has gone and we have +5C at the moment - and dark, dark and again dark.

Let's see if Dave goes for 1/4mile. I know he has some serious power under the hood.....and there is summer in Australia ( like almost always ).

Stroke/bore ratio: 1.105 , not really the best for fast revs ........but piston/rod combo is almost 100g lighter than stock.

More important Sami - your piston speed is now at 110% - you are lucky they are lighter -
you have quite a few tonnes of energy swinging around at 6,000RPM -
Mine is absolutely screaming -
