I did repair my abs module a year ago. I did not find a guide either. My porblem was bad solder joints for the pump circuit. I wonder if posts of this type are intentionally removed or discouraged due to the potential brake failures due to improper repair.

If a moderator chimes in and gives the go-ahead, I will share what I can remember about my ABS module repair.

Thanks, Plums. When I get a chance I'm going to look for the threads and determine if I have anything new to add. Back to work for now.

Ok. I admit that I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. However, I've been trying for about an hour to find any post that gives a step by step with photos.
Nothing on this forum at least.

So, theusualsuspect, I found something that should help. If you search the forum we're on now (X308) by clicking the black drop down that says "Search this foum" (above the # of views display at the top right of the screen) and type in "ABS module re-solder", it will get you started. In the search results, look for the one titled "ABS module removal" I think. Post #3 is from "Gus" and has a link to another forum. I tried it and I had to register in order to view the link. It's worth it! Photos and step by step.

The only thing I did that was different from this great post was to use a heat gun to get the cover off of the module. The hack saw trick looks good too. Just sounds bad. It would be nice find that info on this forum. (It may be here, but , I give up trying to find it.)I did learn a great deal while searching so I encourage you to do the same if you haven't already.

Good luck.

I have been a participant on this forum since 2008, and I respond to ANY post of ANY age that refers to one of my posts. So, 9 years.....sure, why not.

People often have things of value to add and I don't see a problem adding to old threads either. Seems to me to be better than starting new ones and having 15 threads of the same subject matter. But what do I know?
Seems to be an issue that comes up regularly on every forum I've been on.
